
Han Yajuan is a multimedia artist and interdisciplinary researcher whose practice explores the entangled relationships between subjectivity, female identity, and technology. Her work spans painting, video installation, GameArt, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality.
She has held solo exhibitions in countries such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, Spain, and Singapore, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Her work is included in the collections of institutions such as the China Academy of Art, Benetton & United Foundation, the Swiss BSI Foundation, and the M+ Museum.
In addition to her artistic practice, Yajuan has collaborated with major international brands including Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, and De Beers, exploring new dialogues between art, femininity, and contemporary culture.
Yajuan received a bachelor’s degree from the China Academy of Art and a master’s degree from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. She then earned a PhD in Arts and Computational Technology from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is currently a research fellow at the Goldsmiths’s Graduate School and also a visiting research fellow in the Department of Computing.
