First Round Workshops

This experimental workshop is part of Han Yajuan’s practice-based PhD research in Arts and Computational Technology at the computing department at Goldsmiths, University of London, supervised by her supervisors: Rachel Falconer and professor William Latham. You will have a chance to preview a newly developed VR GameArt work and discuss Chinese women-related issues, such as female positioning and identities in the digital age. The workshop aims to investigate the potential influence on and eventual transformation of attitudes towards female positioning and identities and explore the potential of GameArt as an alternative techno-feminist approach in the Chinese context. The goal is to arouse discussions and establish conversations between art, games, female identities, and technologies, leading to future community-building./ 这个实验工作坊是韩娅娟在伦敦大学金史密斯学院计算机系的艺术与计算机技术实践型博士研究的一部分，由她的导师Rachel Falconer和 William Latham教授指导。在这里您将有机会抢先体验一个新创作的VR GameArt作品，并讨论与中国女性有关的问题，如数字时代的女性定位和身份等。工作坊旨在研究中国语境下对女性定位和身份的态度产生最终转变的潜在影响因素, 并探讨游戏艺术在中国背景下作为另一种替代性的技术女性主义方式的潜力。我们的目标是在艺术、游戏、女性身份和技术之间引起讨论，建立对话从而在未来逐步形成社群。

The workshop is suitable for people:/工作坊适宜人群：

1. Chinese women, age 18 or 18+. /中国女生，年龄在18岁或以上。

2. Capable of using VR./有能力体验VR。

Although our main target group is Chinese women, people from all different backgrounds who are interested in this research are welcome to join too!/虽然我们的主要受众群体是中国女生，但也非常欢迎任何对这项研究感兴趣的人加入！
