A composite project, observing this unsettled present across one year (25 Feb 2026–24 Feb 2027). A Live Archive of an Unresolved Present.

Amid accelerating technological transformation and shifts in social life, established ways of understanding, valuing and constructing reality are becoming increasingly unstable, while the future remains unresolved. Within this half-loaded present, Half-Loaded begins with an encounter between two positions from which culture is produced: a human artist and a non-human art studio.

Conceived as a composite project, Half-Loaded observes this unsettled present over a defined one-year period. It brings together the mixed-media series Half-Loaded Reality, the systems-based artwork AgentArt Studio, the interactive GameArt installation Half-Loaded Archive, and a body of live documentation and research.

Operated by five AI agents, AgentArt Studio interprets selected “world signals” each day through an institutionalised production process. It samples public information, generates images, selects among candidates, writes public-facing texts and records its own operations. Alongside it, the artist works from an embodied perspective shaped by the bodily displacement, perceptual memory and instability of recognition brought about by relocation. Across this sustained yet unsettled relation, Half-Loaded traces how technological and institutional change enters the body, language and identity, reshaping everyday reality. The project develops as a living archive of a reality still taking form. At stake is not only who produces culture, but who gains the authority to determine which version of reality is made visible, circulated and preserved.
